With SCAHRM celebrating 40 years as an organization, it is proactive to recognize the increasing number of experienced Risk Professionals retiring or the increasing burning out rate. This session will give Risk Professionals the tools to increase resiliency and avoid burnout. A Risk Professional wears many hats, is seen as problem solvers, and frequently is tasked with finding solutions that can span across several departments or the entire organization. In addition, a Risk Professional can find themselves up against deadlines and frequently are dependent upon their colleagues for actions, tasks, or responses to important projects such as regulatory action plans. During the course of 60 minutes, participants will be provided real-life risk professional case scenarios with polling questions. Using the results from the polling questions, the attendee will be provided with newly acquired evidence-based tools and tangible solutions. These tools can foster collaboration leading the Risk Professional to become the bridge to produce solutions, actions, and meet deadlines with colleagues while building resiliency through self-advocacy.
