In this session, the panelists will explore various examples of highly publicized acts of unprofessional and abusive behavior, use of derogatory, slanderous, and discriminatory comments, and violations of privacy rights, all caught on video, audio, or photographs. They will identify system failures and define strategies for navigating through the aftermath of such detrimental incidents for restoration of patient safety.

Geri Luebeck‘s healthcare career spans 20+ years with the last 13 years in all aspects of Risk Management; she was recently assigned Compliance and Patient Relations duties. With her experience in Administration, Quality Management and Case Management, Geri believes she is well-rounded in her healthcare experience. Prior to healthcare, she worked directly for the owners of an LA based privately-held global conglomerate; she worked in Labor Relations within the City of Seattle Mayor’s Office, and held positions in various Washington State regulatory departments. Geri enjoys the challenges and satisfaction she receives working for a non-profit religious hospital.
