Behavioral Health Risk Management Symposium

Please join CSHRM and SCAHRM in their first annual networking event hosting a Behavioral Health (BH) Symposium in gorgeous San Luis Obispo, CA.  Risk professionals routinely are confronted with BH situations and the need to be ready to support their facility and its healthcare team members. Presentations will address new BH legislation for 2024 and beyond, provide tips for managing acute crises safely, and resources available for adults and pediatrics dealing with acute and chronic BH needs. This symposium will be a great educational opportunity for risk professionals, hospital administrators, and BH professionals.  After the symposium, a networking reception will be held.

Topics include:

• Behavioral Health 2024 Legal Update presented by Alicia Macklin, Esq. and Erin Sclar, Esq. (Hooper Lundy Bookman)
• Day in the Life for Acute Behavioral Health caregivers in the ER presented by Dr. Aaron Meyer (UCSD Medical Center)
• Managing behavioral healthcare challenges after patients leave the ER setting presented by Michelle Gross, LMFT and CEO of Evolve Treatment Center and Meredith Mead, RN BSN, Clinical Director for Gateways Hospital and Healthcare.

Reception to follow

When: January 12, 2024.  Registration 12p-1pm. Presentations 1pm-5:30pm. Reception 5:30-6:30pm.

Costs for attendance will include reception are $79 (members) $99 (non-members).  All participants are encouraged to register prior to the event– as seating is limited.

Guest ticket for reception is $25 for your guest traveling with you.
